Take a journey of healing and survival.

Author Elizabeth Young presents her debut children's book LOOSE LIMBS. Follow a young girl with some big obstacles in life - and some very unique friends who help her get through it all.

Meet Maddie

Maddie is young girl who enjoyed a typical kid’s life and loved sports. But after a life-altering injury, her real journey begins. How does she recover? Who helps her rebuild her life? How does she heal? And who are Phil and Louie? Find out in this earnest and empowering story of Maddie, complete with gentle illustrations, as told by author Elizabeth Young. “This story shows how people can be strong even when things are hard. My own ‘loose limbs’ became my challenge, and my friends. They helped me heal and now I’m giving them life.” - Elizabeth Young
This short story is ideal for children of any age dealing with recovery from serious injury, brain injury, paralysis and other physical healing - along with the themes of disability and social acceptance. For some older kids or even adults, the book can be a companion in other neurological challenges including aging.
